Syrah 2008 Coastview Vineyards-Monterey County - This luscious dark fruit flavor profile of this Syrah was formed by allowing the grapes to hang on the vines until mid-October. Temperature moderating Monterey Bay and 2,200 feet of altitude make this kind of hang time possible without driving the sugar level too high. The vineyard is naturally farmed, planted in 1999, and the soils are mainly decomposed granite and limestone. Aged in 20% new French medium oak for 30 months. Unfined and unfiltered. Alcohol 14.7%. Limited bottling of 90 cases. Bottle price $35.

Eau-de-Vie-de-Vin (unaged winegrape brandy) Humboldt County - Petite Syrah from Southern Humboldt and Certified Organic Humboldt County Cabernet Sauvignon from Willow Creek grapes were the starting points for these smooth and delicious brandies. The wines were distilled at Dutch & Dewey Distillery - our sister venture using our personally designed and built fractionating still. With our unique equipment, we were able to preserve the essence of the fruit while achieving great smoothness. Bottle Price $31.50 (375 ml).
